Our core programming is our Explore Next Door Youth Enrichment Program—free afterschool and summer programs that provide underserved youth of San Diego County with multicultural experiences, STEM and art activities, behavioral health tools, personal development, academic assistance, mentoring, and community engagement.
BIPOC Support Foundation currently offers these innovative educational programs for marginalized students that are primarily BIPOC in various underserved areas of San Diego. Explore Next Door, an afterschool program that supports youth from poverty and low income districts in San Diego.
This innovative program provides underserved students with hands-on multicultural experiences, behavioral health tools, personal development, community engagement, academic assistance, and mentoring.
Children learn stress management skills, career education, local culture, visit local businesses like farms, and learn how to take advantage of parks, libraries, and museums. We also tutor the students in math, English, history, science, and any other curriculum they are learning.
Utilization of knowledge is important for children to learn so they know that they have a variety of opportunities in a vast array of occupations. We also focus on teaching youth the importance of community with skills in advocacy for self and others, teaching the effects of bullying and helping children make an anti-bullying pledge.
